I guess you would be familiar with this sort of stuff by now, being constricted by one program or one sort of medium really irks me sometimes - so this is my chance to have fun and make something that I like from all the different sort of skills that I either have or am currently learning.
The basis for this was using the mouse to roughly draw the pigeons (which was referenced from a photo of mine), get the fill working in there and get some funky textures into it. That texture was a fractal that I made a few weeks ago - I liked it because it looked just like a vector but it had parameters that I could change easily the size of the canvas is just HUGE, from there on, it was back and forth between Illustrator and Photoshop working out the composition and figuring out which was best at doing what~
Oh, forgot to mention the textured background, which was a simple photograph of some paper that the shops use to wrap other papers in.
Do critque though even if this was made with little to no real concept
i like this piece but then i dont... i like the colors and the Pigeon images them self, but then on the other hand it is all cluttered and busy, and confuses me, just needs to be set out different i think!
this is beautiful man, colours works so well together
teh line drawings are so smooth, simple but at the same time they have enough detail
love the texture, i love the overlay effect of the paper, i lovethe stampy look on the pigeons up the top.

and to learn that sometimes the only way out is through
It's mindnumbing to think of yesterday

I guess personal aesthetics comes into play a lot more often than we suppose it would - not to say I've done a really "fantastic" piece of work here, but the idea of collaging different things (and different mediums) is one of the things that I'm experimenting on at the moment

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
